the story of Lauren & Steven

In 2021, Lauren moved to San Francisco and reconnected with her childhood friend. Steven just reconnected with a group of friends from college. Through these mutual friends, Steven and Lauren became part of the same friend group.

Lauren remembers meeting Steven when he was wearing all black, chunky silver rings, and a chain. She wondered if he was edgy or nerdy or both. Steven remembers meeting Lauren while she was eating a sandwich.

Their group of friends did fun things around the city and even went to Japan together. One day, Lauren had to tell Steven about her Philz coffee, but without his phone number, DMed him on Instagram. Steven jokes that Lauren made the first move, but she does not remember messaging him. Luckily for Steven, a search through their digital footprint proved him correct.

Lauren and Steven had a strong friendship and connection the whole time. In March 2023, the timing was right and they became life partners!
